Stone, Water and Ice, A guided journey through the Burren, takes you through the evolution of the Burren from the start of its formation over 300 million years ago when it was the seabed of a tropical ocean, through tectonic plate activity, ice ages, rises and falls of sea level, erosion and deposition, all to create the Burren we know today.
 
There are 26 Geopark Sites, and each one is visited in this book. Clear directions to each geopark Site is given so you can easily locate them, and the accompanying information tells you of the unique geological features of each site.
